Heat Recovery Ventilation...

HRV Units and Components

Heat Recovery Ventilation extracts warm moist air from rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens and uses the heat of this stale air to warm the cooler fresh air from outside. This warmed fresh air is then supplied into living rooms and bedrooms. To learn more watch this short video.

HRV Units

Warm moist air is extracted mechanically from kitchens and bathrooms, the air passes through a heat exchanger and cooler fresh air is warmed and fed back into living areas such as bedrooms and living rooms.

Our HRV Units come in three different sizes offering maximum airflow rates of 180, 300 and 400 m3/h which provide a suitable machine for every size property.

Filtration

Both incoming and outgoing air are filtered within the unit by two filters. A G3 filter is used on the extracted air an F6 (pollen\fine particle filter) is used on the incoming air to ensure only high quality clean air is introduced.

Safety & Bypass

Frost Protection
The unit is equipped with temperature sensors on both air streams. If there is a risk of frost, the system generates an imbalance between the flows, this preserves the high efficiency of the machine at low temperatures.

Summer Bypass (optional)
The medium and large (300 & 400 m3/h) systems can be equipped with a bypass cassette, which during the summer allows the external air to bypass the heat exchanger bringing in fresh cool air. The unit is equipped with sensors which open and close the bypass automatically.
