The first choice for roofing protection
Ubbink’s range of dry verge and ridge products can be fitted quickly and easily to provide superb weather proofing for tiled and slate roofs.
Dry roofing is the method of securing areas of the roof using mechanical means rather than mortar. It is a method predominantly used for many years in Scotland and is becoming increasingly popular in England and Wales, partly due to the higher incidence of storms. Dry roofing has many benefits over the use of mortar. These include:
- Fixing is secure and provides better resistance to wind uplift and water penetration
- No maintenance is required, providing a highly cost-effective solution
- The mess and inconvenience of mixing, carrying and using mortar is eliminated
- Dry roofing can be used securely where there is a risk of differential movement, without the loss of strength associated with mortar cracking
- Installation is quick and easy
- No special skills or tools are required
- It can be completed in all weathers, including rain and frost, so you can continue to work uninterrupted.
The Ubbink Dry Verge secures tiles to the verge of the roof, while providing exceptional resistance to water penetration and preventing wind uplift. It preserves the stepped appearance of the roof tiles, while maintaining the continuous line on the underside of the verge.
The Ubbink Dry Verge offers outstanding versatility, suitable for batten gauges from 265mm to 345mm - the largest range available.
It is simple to fit as the units are easily interconnected. The fixing plates have multiple small holes so it is easy to make small adjustments enabling you to precisely align the Dry Verge with the roof tiles for a perfect and secure fit.
The Ubbink Dry Verge is available in grey, terracotta and brown to blend in with the rest of the roof. Manufactured from UV stable PP, it will not be subject to expansion and contraction problems. It is supplied in quantities of 10 – either left-handed or right-handed. |
