Ventilation System
Continuous passive stack ventilation - with added mechanical ventilation when you need a boost.
Experience show that in some instances natural ventilation alone is not enough. Sometimes mechanical assistance is required. This is why Ubbink has developed Novus; a unique system that ventilates naturally but with the added option of venting mechanically as well.
The great advantage of the Novus system is that it combines optimum ventilation with low energy consumption. Passive stack ventilation operates constantly, mechanical operation is only activated when it is required.Thus, Novus ensures healthy comfortable living conditions at a low cost.
The Novus system consists of four parts which, used in combination, provide the essential ventilation needed for condensation control.
From top to bottom these four elements are:-
Multivent:
A roof ventilation terminal which has a draught-boosting cowl for
extra efficient natural ventilation. There is also an integral condensation
drain.
Novus:
A mechanical ventilation unit which is available with separate
units for use in either toilets, bathrooms or kitchens. The unit is installed
in a slide which can easily be removed for cleaning.
Novus
Pipe System:
This has a very smooth internal surface which results in extremely
low resistance. The pipe components are easy to cut to the required length
and airtight connections are produced by the seals provided. Supplied
in white.
Novus
Ventilation Valve:
This valve has almost nil resistance and ensures optimum air removal thanks
to its special design. Cowl covers are available in white, blue and black.
A humidity controlled valve is also available in white.
